Sinera-P Drops

SINERA-P DROPS is a pediatric formulation designed to provide relief from symptoms of colds, flu, and allergies in children. It combines paracetamol (a pain reliever and fever reducer), phenylephrine (a nasal decongestant), and chlorpheniramine (an antihistamine) to address multiple symptoms, including fever, congestion, sneezing, and discomfort.

Indications
  • Fever and Pain Relief: For the relief of mild to moderate pain (headaches, body aches) and fever in children.
  • Nasal Congestion: For the relief of nasal congestion due to colds, flu, or sinusitis.
  • Allergic Rhinitis: To relieve sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes caused by allergies.
  • Cold and Flu Symptoms: Provides combined relief from multiple symptoms, including fever, congestion, and discomfort.
Dosage and Administration

Route of Administration: Oral drops.

Typical dose for children (age 2-6 years): 2.5 ml (containing 125 mg paracetamol, 2.5 mg phenylephrine, 1 mg chlorpheniramine) 3-4 times a day, or as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

Typical dose for children (age 6-12 years): 5 ml (containing 250 mg paracetamol, 5 mg phenylephrine, 2 mg chlorpheniramine) 3-4 times a day, or as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

Administration: Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the prescribed dose using the provided dropper and administer it orally. The drops can be taken with or without food.

Precautions

Drowsiness: Chlorpheniramine can cause drowsiness, so caution is advised when allowing children to engage in activities that require alertness (e.g., school, sports).

Alcohol Use: Avoid alcohol, as it may enhance the sedative effects of chlorpheniramine.

Heart Disease: Phenylephrine may raise blood pressure. Use cautiously in children with heart disease or hypertension.

Liver Disease: Paracetamol is metabolized in the liver, so use cautiously in children with liver disease. Avoid exceeding the recommended dose to prevent liver damage.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult a healthcare provider before using SINERA-P DROPS during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Caffeine and Other Stimulants: Avoid other sources of caffeine or stimulants while using SINERA-P DROPS to avoid potential overstimulation in children.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity: Contraindicated in children with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol, phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine, or any of the other components of the drops.

Severe Hypertension or Heart Disease: Contraindicated in children with uncontrolled hypertension, arrhythmias, or other severe heart conditions.

Liver Disease: Contraindicated in children with severe liver impairment.

Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs): Should not be used within 14 days of taking MAOIs due to the risk of serious interactions.
