Administration Instructions:
Liver Disease: Paracetamol is metabolized in the liver, and overuse can lead to severe liver damage. People with existing liver disease (such as cirrhosis or hepatitis) should use this medication with caution or avoid it.
Kidney Disease: Caution should be exercised in individuals with impaired kidney function.
Alcohol Use: Excessive alcohol intake can increase the risk of liver damage when using Paracetamol. It is best to limit alcohol consumption while using this medication.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:
o Paracetamol is generally considered safe during pregnancy, but it should be used at the lowest effective dose and for the shortest duration.
o Paracetamol is also considered safe while breastfeeding in recommended doses.
Overdose Risk: Taking too much Paracetamol can result in liver damage. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, confusion, and jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). If overdose occurs, seek medical help immediately.
Allergic Reactions: Though rare, some people may have allergic reactions to Paracetamol, including skin rashes, swelling, or difficulty breathing. Discontinue use and seek medical attention if such symptoms occur.
